Roy is from Idaho and then he moved down to Arizona. He enjoys spending time in the great outdoors. He lives near the pocket door workshop and this led him to apply and work there. He enjoys working with the people at the pocket door workshop.
Q: What is your experience in the construction field?
A: Roy has previous experience in the construction field as a welder. He worked with welding tools as well as working with various metals. He has worked with a variety of hand tools before and he is comfortable working with saws.
Q: Why did you choose construction as your career path?
A: Roy enjoys working with his hands and likes getting paid well so he picked construction as his career path.
Q: What is your favorite part about working in the construction industry?
A: His favorite part about working in the construction industry is the people and the fact that he enjoys building things.
Q: What advice would you give to someone who owns a construction business?
A: Roys says the advice he would give to someone who owns a construction business is "to treat the employees well."
Q: How do you spend your time outside of work?
A: Roy spent his time outside of work golfing, fishing and going camping with his family.
Q: What is something new you’ve learned at the pocket door workshop?
A: Something new Roy learned while working at the pocket door workshop is how to operate new equipment. Roy operates the hydraulic presses in the pocket door workshop.
Roy manufactures all the T-guides and creates precision holes in the post brackets. He's the best at his job and we appreciate Roy here at the pocket door workshop!
