HDPOCKETDOORS heavy duty pocket door frame for standard 2x6 walls. The 5500-SYNCHRO series for converging pairs, which allows 2 doors to open simultaneously, and features Sugatsune Synchronized track and hardware that will easily carry solid core doors from 88lbs up to 176 lbs. Available in synchronized and synchronized with soft close open. This kit includes universal T floor guide, a manufactured LVL header that will stay straight and flat and 16 gauge 1½" x 1½" steel posts for added strength and stability. The LVL header is fully assembled including the top bracket so that the steel posts along with the bottom brackets can easily be snapped into place for a quick and easy installation.

I am a builder and have despised pocket doors for as long as I can remember. My client wanted them and wouldn’t be persuaded otherwise. I went on the hunt for the best version of what I have long believed to be the worst idea that’s never going away - the pocket door. I came across the ‘Heavy Duty’ folks and felt that if anything was going to work well, these would do it.

I received my door kits and began installing them. They are the most impressive pocket door setups I’ve ever seen. They are super stout and everything is high quality. I haven’t installed the final doors yet but for the first time, I am not worried about the future, long term performance of the pocket doors I am using.
